Christmas in August? Friday Foto Fiesta!!

It's time once again to join Candid Carrie and her phabulous Foto Fiesta!! Please join in the phun!

I don't know why I'm thinking about Christmas in the middle of summer--though it will be here before we know it--but I felt like looking at our Christmas card pic from '06.

We do the same format every year--kids in front of the fireplace w/ the dogs--and, as you can imagine, it isn't easy!

This is how it goes: one or more of the kids is crying, the dogs are skulking away and/or licking themselves or at least one kid/dog had their eyes closed. Usually all of that at the same time!

This year we got a miracle picture--we had done a few pics and the dogs were running away, the baby was wriggling and the kids were getting irritated. So we took a break. When we reconvened the baby had dozed off in that angelic sleeping baby way, the dogs had settled down and the kids seemed happy.

I couldn't believe it when I saw the pic! I was like, "Done!"

Thanks for stopping by!!

That shot is absolutely adorable! I have a hard enough time with my older kids...and no animals are involved. Gotta love it.
