Contests and Sweaters...

I'm away for the weekend--one last summer getaway--so this will be a quickie!

First of all, the giveaway for the LUSH basket ends today! It will officially stop at 5 p.m. Central time. GOOD LUCK to all of those who entered!! I will announce the winners tomorrow morning.

I will leave you with a few pics of a sweater I just finished knitting. I made an identical one for my sister's baby, but this is the Pickle one. It fits her really well except I (very stupidly) made the neck too big. I was looking at the wrong number on the pattern when I cast on the stitches--so this sweater is size two, but with a six neck. Yes, I am an idiot--but it still fits!

Here are some pics of her in the sweater--it was only in the 90s when I made her wear it outside. I'm mean too!

And from the back:

It's pretty, isn't it? This is the most beautiful yarn ever--I'm just going to keep making these sweaters until I'm out of yarn.

Happy Sunday and good luck in the giveaway!!

It looks great. I didn't notice a problem with the neck (and quite honestly, still don't). I don't know where you find the time!!

The sweater is too cute! I don't see anything wrong with the collar, looks fine to me. I wish I could knit!

That is a truly beautiful sweater.
Gorgeous colors!
I've tried knitting and a scarf is about all I seem to be capable of.
And even that comes out uneven!
I want to keep trying though. I really enjoy it.

I like the way the wider neck gives it kind of a shawl look. But I LOVE the way Pickle put the whole outfit together! Girlfriend knows how to accessorize! :)

That is very cute...and if you hadn't told me about the neck I wouldn't have even noticed anything. Well, to be honest, you told me about the neck and it still looks fine to me!

Dream in Color is the best yarn, isn't it? And machine-washable, to boot!

WB is such a peanut that she can still wear the sweater I made her last Spring. This makes me very happy.

Wow Ruth--I didn't even realize it wash machine washable! It is definitely The Best Yarn Ever!!

Love the rainbow sweater! Have you read the Debbie Macomber books starting with THE SHOP ON BLOSSOM STREET? The feature a knitting shop. Excellent reads, you'd probably enjoy with your interest in all things yarn.
