Some of My Paintings Fx4

TGIF! Please join the foto party at Candid Carrie's! It's phun!

I'm sort of shy about this--but I thought I'd share a few pics of some of my paintings. They are all watercolors, but the last one also uses graphite and glass.

"EarthCake"

Thanks for looking and Happy Friday!!

I normally stay away from anything crowish, but I see it as a lovely tribute to the bunny you lost recently.

Those are awesome. Loved them all but my fave would have to be Earth Cake.

Just WOW...These are really nice!

Oh, the bunny in that last painting looks so much like Bunny Dumpling. Did you paint it before or after you found him?

I'm no art critic, but I like your stuff!

Do not be shy....you are very good. :)

The first one scares me...but that's good, right? Evoking emotions and all? I mean, those are ghosts right? Look at her eyes too...(these are all compliments...)

And I do love the crow. Dang girl.

You are really talented. I love Earthcake!

OMG thank you Everybody! Such nice compliments!

The crow one is b/c I once saved a baby bunny from a crow that was carrying it away. It wasn't Bunny Dumpling--but looked exactly the same!

I have been doing watercolors for a few years--but it's a really hard medium and, I think, will take many more years to perfect! Lately, I have been slacking off and not doing it at all (too much blogging!).

It's hard because you have to use thin layers of colors (or what my teacher calls "veils of color") to build up a deep color. For instance, EarthCake has probably 20(or more)layers of color w/in each of those circle things. It's always interesting to see how the colors interact--sometimes is great and sometimes, not so much!

Thanks again!

I love them! I really like the room service one ;) I wish I could paint. I seen somewhere that you like working with glass? I have just started teaching myself how to make glass beads...I.am.addicted. I want a kiln next. I am so confused...there are a million different ones out there. Have a great day! Sorry about fessing up about my fear of clowns...I just scroll faster than the speed of light ha. It is all Stephen Kings fault. Have a great weekend!

Those are great! I stopped over from Ann's. Watercolors are a complete mystery to me. I have no idea how to use them properly.
