World's Friendliest Chicken! Fx4

TGIF!!! Ugh--I'm so glad Friday is here. It's been a long week and I'm exhausted! I'm so glad it's Candid Carrie's Foto Fiesta. Join in the phun!

I wanted to share some pics of this super friendly chicken (rooster? cock?(my husband made me write that!)) that used to hang out on the deck of one of our favorite Mexican restaurants. We all got such a kick out of this chicken--he would come right up to us and let us pet him!

Unfortunately, one day his pic turned up on the menu and said R.I.P. underneath. I asked the waitress for details--but they were sketchy. Let's just hope he didn't end up in the fajitas!

We called him Rooster Don, but his real name was Hector.
Here he is with the boys:
And with Andy:
Thanks for stopping by!!

Beautiful picture! All the roosters I have been around are NOT that friendly...I am sure that led to his poor demise! :)

Loved the picture. I am scared of roosters those things chase you. I can't believe he is just sitting their with the kids.

How funny! I'm sure he was under "contract" to pose for pictures with customers on pain of death... and then one day he wouldn't smile for the camera...

I don't think I ever got too friendly with a chicken. Well maybe at the dinner table...LOL

Every chicken I have ever ran over...I mean across was mean..my granny's use to chase us all over the place..LOL

I have such a hard time with friendly versions of the animals I eat. Especially ones that I really like, like chicken salad. I much prefer they are nasty animals so I don't feel guilty.

THAT IS AWESOME!! I use to watch *Cock* fights when I lived in Mexico..It was like watching football for the locals. It's normal down there and I never met a NICE rooster down there and always wanted to pet one. YOUR SO LUCKY to have had such a nice rooster to have as a pet!!

RIP Hector

and Thanks for stopping by my place today!!! Have a super weekend

Hector is the most beautiful cock I have ever seen; and yes, I have always wanted to write something like that! He is especailly pretty, though; I have a fondness for chickens.

That is hilarious...seriously I've never seen such a friendly rooster? I would be scared, I'm not kidding.

How cute! I had a friend in college who was raised on a chicken farm. They scared me.

When I was growing up we had a rooster that would follow us around like it was a pet dog. I remember taking it to school once, for 'Show and Tell'.

Cute photos!!
