Books!

First of all, thank you for all the help with my Internet scam situation. Your information was very helpful and it was so nice to get some support! I haven't told Don about it because I'm trying to handle it myself and I don't want to upset him. It was nice to be able to talk to you guys about it!

I'm pretty drained right now--I had a very busy day--mostly good, fun stuff--but also more dealing with credit card companies which is so exhausting! So I'm going to do an "easy" blog today--but a fun one. I saw this idea on Mama Dawg's blog and found it very interesting.

"The Big Read is a USA National Endowment for the Arts program designed to encourage community reading initiatives and of their top 100 books, they estimate the average adult has read only six.

1. Look at the list and bold those you have read.

2. Italicize those you intend to read.

3. Underline (or color) the books you LOVE .Share this list in your blog, too, if you like.”

I wondered about The Road...
My daughter started Lovely Bones and had to stop reading it...it was too upsetting!
I am glad you got everything worked out and I understand about being upset about the dresses...I love buying dresses for our little girl!

I'm glad to see my beloved Tolkein books made the list! I've come SO close to making Jacob a baby hobbit for Halloween.

I have seen this before -- I can't remember what I read in high school and for the past 13 years it has been childrens book and now homeschool books. I may get to read again for me one day. Thanks for sharing that was great.
Much Love

Great list!!! I'm afraid the ones I've read would be pretty short on that list...but I've seen a lot of the movies...

My favorite all time books are the Harry Potter books. I just like believing in that magical world.....so creative!!!

I can't post the list, beside Tolkien, the only books I have read on the list were required reading at some point or another. I always like them when I'm done?? I think it has something to do with the fact that someone told me I HAD to read. I'm a rebel like that hahahaha.

I love "A Prayer For Owen Meany". I didn't waste my time with the movie adaptation "Simon Birch". Did you see it?
And I see you didn't care for "On The Road". Where's your inner hippie Jennifer?
Peace baby! ;->

Very interesting. I, too, wonder who came up with the list because there are definitely some that seem like they should be on there: Ayn Rand anyone? And ones that I'm surprised are on there: Bridget Jones' Diary?

I'm going to do this over on my blog, thanks for the inspiration!
