Well, I Wanted Something To Blog About...

And I got it!

Today Teddy stayed home from school because he still wasn't feeling great--though he was much better than the day before--and this afternoon I asked if he could watch Pickle for ten minutes while I took a shower.

Just so you know how desperately I needed a shower--I'm writing this on Thursday and I hadn't taken a shower since Monday. Sorry to gross you out--this is just the way my life has been lately!

Anyway, I had been working on a painting--an OIL painting--and left the paints out, but Pickle knows full well not to touch them. I guess Teddy left the kitchen briefly to go to the bathroom and she must have made a beeline for them.

When I came back into the room I saw this:

and this:
Although I was upset, it's hard to get mad at a face this cute:
Sorry Mommy.

I also couldn't help but notice the really nice shade of orangey-red she had mixed...

Of course, she went straight into the tub where she practiced her mad face:
And her happy face:

I'm happy to say that somehow she came clean! Though I don't hold out much hope for her dress.

I asked her later why she did it and she said she wanted to be "sparkly."

As soon as I pulled up your blog & saw those pictures, I literally busted out laughing!! Yeah, hard to be mad at that face.... at least it looked like a good time!

At least she didnt find glitter to add to the wet pain to make the "Sparkly" really come to life! can you imagine scrubbing that?

Hope your tub didnt get a red ring either... I can only imagine your day... first vomit through the past days - now red paint! That'll teach you to take a shower - hehe!!!
