Birthday Goose

First of all, thanks for all the birthday wishes for Gooser. He had a great day!

When he came downstairs this morning, Andy had decorated the kitchen with streamers and signs and had some birthday music playing.

Then later, Pickle and I took his birthday cupcakes over to school--Batman, of course.
Then he got to choose something from the "birthday box."
And Pickle got something too!
Here's Gooser eating his cupcake:

Pickle wouldn't sit down to eat hers because she wanted to play "Princess." Which meant wearing the plastic fancy high heels they keep in the dress up area.
When he got home his presents and Batman balloon were waiting!
He loved all of his presents which included multiple Batman toys.

Pickle appeared in the doorway looking like this:

Then later, we headed off to dinner at a fun Japanese restaurant where they cook at the table.

We encountered some geese in the parking lot and I told Gooser to try and pose with them:

Gooser and Geese

But then they started attacking! Did you know that geese hiss? I didn't, but I do now!

Killer Goose!!
Here are the big boys eating:
And Pickle having some soup. Japanese food is her second favorite food (bacon, of course, is first.)
And Pickle acting crazy in the booth:
Then on the way home we spotted a deer family! I pulled over to get some pics:
It was fun because we told Gooser that all those animals came out to celebrate his birthday.

And he did conclude that it was the best day ever!!

ounds ike a fun day!
My oldest son when he was in college took a young lady to a park during the day at a lake...there were killer geese!
They chased them all the way to the car..hissing and snapping. The date thought Rob was so heroic...she married him!...and made me a Gigi...
so I am kind of fond of geese although they can hurt you!

Glad Gooser had a wonderful day !!

Your kids have the most adorable grins ... they always make me smile when I see photos of them :-)

You didn't know that geese hiss? :-) They also bite, if you give them a chance. I've been sporting a little bit of a bruise on my finger, when one of them got me while I was habd feeding some at our little local lake..

Love the photos and 'the all animals come out to celebrate' comment ...sweet :-)

Looks like Gooser wasn't the only one to enjoy his birthday, great photos. Geese can hiss, boy can they... Did you know that geese make better watch dogs than dogs? Also you have geese, you never have snakes; geese kill snakes on sight. Good thing Gooser wasn't having a pit stop!

@Pickle, you can see my Meow Meow on Nether Region of the Earth.

I was attacked by a goose when I was a kid. To this day, I don't like them. Not even to eat, which you'd think that would be the best revenge. But no. Stupid geese.

Fun! No geese are so scary, you will not find me even close to one! They hiss and bite!

I'm glad he had such a great day.

Your trying to get a picture of him with the geese reminded me of one of my most favorite blog posts EVER, by Miss Doxie (who seems to have quit blogging *sniff*)

I can't seem to get the link to work. To read it (have some tissues ready for the laughing! you will laugh!!) go to and look in her sidebar under "Recent Entries". The post is entitled "Cookie and the Geese".

That looks like fun....I love all the animal encounters.

Yes, geese do hiss. They probably had some eggs nearby.....this is their breeding time.
