Happy Friday! This week flew by for me--maybe because of the Monday holiday? Anyway, it's time for Candid Carrie's Friday Foto Fiesta!! Please go over and join in the phun!!
Since I showed pics of some of my painting last week I thought I'd show some of my glass this week. I'm a glassblower (though I've slacked off and haven't done it in a few months) and these are pics of some of my paperweights--but paperweights are solid worked and not blown.
I like to make paperweights when I'm in the hot shop (that's glass talk!) by myself. If my partner is there, then we blow--but it's hard to do alone.
I'm probably going to get some freaks visiting my blog from Google after all this blowing talk! Hi freaks! Sorry--just talking about glassblowing--you'd better go now.
So anyway, I make a lot of paperweights because they're easy and I can experiment a lot with color, etc. A lot of these have glass beads (that I also made) inside of them. And a lot of the beads are of eyeballs because I have a thing for eyeballs. Oh, the iridescent-looking stuff is called dichroic glass. I love it and I use it a lot!
Thanks for looking!

Jennifer...they are beautiful! You are so talented! I like these better than the other things you are going to give out for Christmas! This is art!!!
Is it difficult to start glass blowing?
That orange and irredescent one is gorgeous. You are definitely one talented gal.
Have a great weekend! :)
Ok if you're not seeling these. You need to. They are Gorgeous and I want one. You so should have one of those Etsy shops or something. It's a shame to not let oters appreciate your creativeness. Cause honey you are full ot if ya know.
Beautiful!
Do they have flat bottoms? They are so pretty. I'd be proud to put one of your paperweights on my papers!
WOW! These are GORGEOUS! You are VERY talented!
If you want to sell your stuff through my site, please let me know. I have a reiki and doula site and I know some people who would love your stuff.

Thank you Eveybody--I appreciate it!
No--I haven't really sold any. I've donated some to school benefits (for silent auctions) and I've given them away for gifts.
I suppose one of these days I should get my act together and think about selling them?
And, yes, they have flat bottoms.
Also, Ronda--glassblowing is pretty difficult, but paperweights are not too hard as there's no blowing involved, just shaping the solid glass.
Those are AWESOME!!! Make me one!
Happy Foto Friday

Wow! I am so impressed! These are gorgeous. Love the colors. I've heard the glass blowing is incredibly difficult. Good for you! You should sell them on Etsy!

Hi Jennifer, These are gorgeous!
I've been super busy this past week with a death in the family, (my mother-in-law who I moved her to take care of this past year), a new birth (as you know, I'm a grandma) and my youngest turning 11. (today)
I miss blogging but haven't found the time and have been just too tired. Stopped by to see if anything new was happening with you.

Oh my goodness, Jennifer! Those are amazing! You are so talented. How on earth do you find time with five kids to keep up a blog, painting and glass blowing? You are officially wonderwoman.
Beautiful! Are you selling???
These are so pretty! They would make gorgeous bowling balls (if, of course, they were the appropriate size).
Wow, they are beautiful and it looks like if you haven't sold them, you have a market now;)
So pretty! I love all the colors (the eyeballs are a little freaky deaky... but in a cool way!)
those are gorgeous Jen!!! I really think u should sell them!!
Beautiful! I love the colors you've used!
I have two friends that are glass blowers. It always amazes me what creations come from glass blowing.
Your work is amazing!
Wow! Those are fantastic!

I agree with a previous comment: you should open an Etsy shop and sell them!!
These are very cool.
I agree those are gorgeous! And.... do you sell them?
Those are really cool.
I'm not so thrilled with the eyeballs cuz eyeballs sort of creep me out. But the others are ab-so-lutely
beautiful.
OMG they are so beautiful. How does one become a glassblower?
Those are GORGEOUS!! You are so talented! I can't imagine how much fun it is to create all of those...and all the blowin' that goes along with the other pieces (I want to see those pics too!).
Thanks for sharing!
These are BEAUTIFUL!!! I LOVE them!!!! Can you tell by all my CAPITAL letters???
Yes, you should definitely sell these and let me know when these are available. AND/OR have a giveaway (and rig it so I win) :)
Those are gorgeous! You've got some talent!!!
Ah man.
I thought my days of Flashing Back were finally over.
Thanks a million.
Oooooh, cool, cool, cool! I love these. The 4th one is my favorite, but I would love any of them. Put me on your list if/when you decide to sell some.
