Things Suck Again

The pink-haired people backed out of the lease. Is that even allowed? I mean, you can't just walk out on a contract? But they did. So now, not only do we NOT have renters, we have lost valuable time to find new ones with our house off the market.

Not to mention the fact that we CHANGED OUR CLOSING DATE and MOVE IN DATE to accommodate their schedule.

Not to mention that we started packing over the weekend but had to hide all the (heavy) boxes in the garage today because we have to start SHOWING THE HOUSE AGAIN.

Could anything about this real estate deal just be easy?

Apparently not.

Oh no! Believe I know the disappoinment. I've learned not to get my hopes up until the papers are sighned and you are moving out. I'm so sorry, I know it is so emotionally debilitating. It will be alright in the long run. Everything happens for a reason.

Oh NOOOOOOOOOOOO! If they signed a contract, doesn't that put them on the hook to pay rent, at least until you find someone else? Argh!!!

Hoping someone comes along that isn't "too tall" for the house soon!!!

AAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! I am so sorry, Jen. It would be nice for something to go smoothly, if only for a change of pace.

Sending ~~renters~~ vibes your way. Hope someone shows up, pronto.

Better to say good-bye now before she has access to your house...she sounds flaky!
Good luck!

We had renters back out of a lease. It was about 1/2 way through the lease, they just called and "informed" us that they wouldn't be staying any longer. Yeah, and they got upset when we mentioned the contract and financial obligation. So they trashed the house and we never found them. It was disgusting. Just be glad your people didn't get a chance to mess up your house. Oh, and I could have sworn that our renters never once ever cleaned the house the entire time they lived there. Nice.

Well now I totally understand why you missed Blogher. Selling/buying houses is a major pain in the patootie. Here's hoping the perfect buyers/renters walk through your door soon!

If they signed papers, I would be trying to legally keeping them to it!

That really stinks;(

Oh crap! I'm so sorry. I was trying not to "skip ahead" as I got caught up and look, I JUST congratulated you on the pink haired renters and now I'd like nothing more than to pour some orange paint all over them.

Sending you "rent fast with renters that stick" vibes!
