Anyway, now that the house is on the market and I have to keep it clean and fresh-smelling 24/7, I decided that there's no way I can stay on top of the ferret odor situation--so they are taking a "vacation" at our very nice and very accommodating neighbor's house! Luckily, they have ferrets too so they know what they're getting into! I can't even begin to say how grateful I am that the ferrets aren't here right now--as much as I like them, my stress level just couldn't handle them right now
Here's Andy getting the ferrets ready for their getaway. That's Baby on the left and Creampuff on the right.
And here's Pickle saying goodbye to them as Andy loaded them into the travel kennel. You can tell she's about to lose it...
She lost it!
Poor Pickle!
I didn't exactly share her sentiments!
Oh--did I mention that over our big Open House Weekend, Teddy came down with Influenza B virus? UNCLE!!

Aww, poor baby! I feel so bad for her. She is so sad! But I know they make you feel less stressed (which is well worth it!). I never had ferrets but I had a bunny, 2 hamsters & a guinea pig & their smells were UGH!
Did you see the movie "signs"?
That's all I am saying! Good luck! :)
We used to have ferrets too and yes, they are VERY smelly!
Pickle needs some bacon, STAT!
I hope Teddy is feeling better soon! Poor kid!
Oh Pickle's crying face break my heart. Sorry to hear about Teddy having the flu. Hope he gets to feeling better soon.
The last picture makes me think she's saying "But WHYYYYYYYYY Mom??" all the while wailing in anguish! Poor baby!! Although I must admit, it made me chuckle. Those little drama queens of ours! I'm glad one less thing is on you right now and I hope this move and sell goes quickly! Poor Teddy! I hope he feels better soon!!
Poor pickle, her sad little face breaks my heart (so cute jammies though!). At least she can go visit them at the neighbor's house!
Pickle has the best "cry face" in the world! I would take pictures all day of that sadness. TOO CUTE!
Ferrets, are cute, but, yes way too smelly!
Poor Pickle! :(
Ohhhhh, poor Pickle! Is it wrong that I think those are cute pictures of her? (Confession: I've photographed Kiddo in an equal state of distress myself before...)
Hope that many interested buyers have been through already so that the kids-n-ferrets reunion isn't too far off!
Oh man! You are having a rough time. I hope it all starts to go better!
Maybe I'm completely evil, but kid's sad faces always make me laugh...they're so damn cute!
Oh, poor little Pickle! Maybe she can go visit Baby and Creampuff regularly!
Pickle better be an actress, I love her dramatics. I picture walking around her Hollywood mansion in heels and a boa.
Poor Pickle and poor Teddy! My sister had a ferret and it was mean, mean, mean. It bit everyone. No thanks.
Oh my goodness... that pouty face is heartbreaking & adorable all at the same time..... poor Pickle!
Poooooooor Pickle :(
I love her outfit though.
Jennifer, Pickle needs one of those big bacon thingies...

I know when we go on vacation or something big and involved, the animals are like the straw that breaks the camels back. When the time comes to drop them off to the kennel or whatever I feel like such a weight has been lifted off of me! Silly, but it does make such a differenc;)
I almost started crying when I saw Pickle's sad face!
Awww Pickle it'll be ok baby girl. Give Pickle a hug for me.
I don't want ferrets b/c of the smell. They are very cute and I would love to have them but I can't handle the smell. Sooo, I want a turtle. Hopefully this will be an easy one to take care of.
Hayden is very concerned about your Ferrets. I wants them to be very well care for. He is also sorry that Pickle, he likes her name, is sad.
That is what I get for blogging with kids. ;)
Poor Pickle! She's breaking my heart!
Aww... poor Pickle! That sad little face just breaks my heart!
Poor Teddy, too! I sure hope he gets to feeling better soon!
Have to share, I was reading your post and girl wandered over and wanted to know why Pickle was crying like she does, then one of the boys walked by and thought is was a pic of Girl crying cause we get that alot around here, LOL!!
Oh, Pickle breaks my heart! Good luck to the ferrets in their new home.
Poor Pickle! Poor Teddy!
Hang in there.....hopefully everything will work out soon!
Awwwwww bless her wee little heart. I got tears in my eyes just looking at those pics. My three year old has a FIT any time we take Casey or Griffy or Gracie to the vet and even though we PROMISE her they are coming back, she doesn't believe it until she sees it. I don't even want to imagine what she'd do if one of them had to go away for an extended time.
I totally hear ya on the ferrets though. We had one in our zoology class and I used to hate walking in there in the mornings...sometimes it was a tad overwhelming!
