Happy Birthday Gooser!!

My little Gooser is six today!! Six? That doesn't even seem possible.

I can remember the day he was born like it was yesterday--I was driving to my weekly doctor's appointment and I started feeling some mild twinges in the car. Barely noticeable really.

The nurse was weighing me, etc. she asked how I was feeling and I mentioned the twinges in an off-handed way--but she sort of freaked out--running out of the room and saying she was going to get a monitor to see if they were contractions.

Before she had a chance to do that, my doctor came in and checked me and said "You need to go straight to the labor floor."

I was like "Really??" and he said I was already five centimeters dilated.

A couple hours later, Gooser was born--no fuss, no confusion--just on my regular doctor's appointment. It was a fast, easy and fun delivery.

And that's pretty much how he's been ever since--easy and pleasant and never any trouble.Gooser might just be the sweetest child ever--he doesn't have a mean bone in his body. He tells me over and over again every day that I am his best friend and how much he loves me. I'm telling you--sweet!!
So please join me in wishing him a Happy Birthday! He says it's going to be the "best day of his life."

This morning I'll be bringing cupcakes over to his school and tonight he'll open presents and we'll have dinner at his favorite Japanese restaurant. His party is on Saturday so I'll have a fun update this weekend.
