Resolutions...

OK--I've been working today on my list of resolutions for 2009 and I want to share the list with you. I'm also going to use my blog to try and stick with them! I'm going to make the rule that if I blow it one week and don't complete my (relatively easy) tasks--I'll report back here and you guys can be mean to me and tell me that I screwed up. Okay?

So here's the list thus far:

--To floss/use my "gum simulator" twice a day.

--To exercise three times a week (twice with a trainer, once by myself).

--To go to my watercolor class once a week.

--To practice painting three times a week (not including the class).

--To only eat foods that are heart healthy (except for special occasions).

--To not eat anything in the evening once I have finished dinner.

All really doable, right!?

I am also working on a list of short and long term goals that I will share later.

I'd love to hear what everybody's resolutions are!

Sounds like a good plan, Jennifer! I'm not near that confident yet so you're doing great! One of mine is to grow my nails out. I've never had long nails. I've always either bitten them off or chopped them off. I'm actually doing that one already and they look great! Another one is to exercise more. I didn't set a limit per say. But I am in the market for a new treadmill! I wish I could commit to more like the heart healthy foods. But I know I would eventually let myself down. Besides, I gotta have my Saturday night hot wings! ha! Good job, girl! Your list sounds fantastic! Keep on keeping on!

My goals are easy and simple! Ha!
I want to eat less (and better) and move more (exercise) spend less and save more! I want to travel more and read more! While eating and spending less!
We'll see! :)

Those sound like great resolutions! Best of luck! As sick as I am today, I am starting my diet (supposed to have started 2 days ago).

Great plan. I really thought you wrote gun stimulator! I was worried that we would have to come in & rescue your kids. Maybe I should wake up before I read!

Yes all of that sounds doable. You are going to be busy though. I don't know how you do anything honestly. I only have 1 child and can't seem to get anything done. :) Using the blog is a great idea. I was going to put my "to do" list for 2009 on the sidebar so I would want to hurry and do it and get it off there...the pressure you know!!!

A totally reasonable list. You should have no problems sticking to it. :)

I rooting for you jennifer! You are more motivated than I am for sure. I am listening to the other readers saying "totally doable" and I'm like, i would last three days.

But I cheering for you anyway!

My resolution is to police everyone's resolutions and making sure they are doing them! Ha....not eating after dinner, that will be the hardest. But you can do it, really you can!

Bah! Humbug! New Years resolutions - the unattainable desired by the hoipolloi. Jennifer already knows, I didn't make any, that way I can't disappoint myself.

Happy New Year to you all

Good for you! I don't make resolutions, never have and I don't think I ever will. But I hope that you are able to keep up with yours.

Sounds good--but I think you better petition for an extra hour every day! I miss watercolor painting; hope you have fun with it.

You rock. I would have a shorter list and instead of "eat only heart healthy foods" it would say things like "skip the fries," just so I'd only have to cut out one naughty thing. Yup, lazy.

I didn't make any resolutions except for to quit being such a hag. haha we'll see.

Happy New Year!
The list is doable and it sounds good.
If you post next year, around this time saying you successfully kept your resolutions I will have to give you a round of applause.

Totally doable list! I like it!

Great list! You can definitely do those. I would struggle with the no food after dinner and the heart healthy stuff. Food is definitely my weakness. As evidenced by my behind.

oh, if I had a watercolor class, I'd be painting every day...(why don't I?) Wish I could pick you up and drag your butt there...I'd so do it...you can skip everything but that...mkay?

You can do it!!!! It'll get tough - but hang in there!!!

Great list! I could try this with you - I need to floss more - I love the idea of you doing the watercolor classes for yourself

Happy Holidays!

Oh Jennifer... 'resolutions'... well, I'm workin' on it.
I plan on being more patient with my girls.
I'll start with that and see how it goes.

Way to go girly!
I am so with you on not eating after dinner, although Ice Cream is a weakness.

Great resolutions! I didn't come up with quite so many because I always break them... I figured if I shortened my list it'd be easier to keep them. Hopefully that works! ;)
