Good News For Pickle!

Well, the oldest person in the world, Gertrude Baines, age 114 (can you imagine!?) attributes her longevity in part to "an occasional piece of crispy bacon." She has been quoted as saying that her favorite hobbies are "eating bacon and watching Jerry Springer."

She doesn't look a day over 80! And I love her Little Edie-style headgear!

So this is very good news for Pickle who would eat bacon 24/7 if I let her. Maybe if Pickle continues with her bacon-love in moderation, she might have a shot at the Guinness Book some day!?!

One thing about my Veggie lifestyle...no more bacon and I love it...but I can't stand to look at raw bacon anymore!
She looks great! and Pickle will too!

Mmmmm Bacon!

I think Bacon cures everything. Or, at least it should anyhow. *lol* Maybe Pickle and Ms. Baines are onto something.

Well, there you go... I'm halfway to having a long life, because I, like Pickle, love bacon.

Okay, Jerry Springer is an entirely different kettle of fish.

People here my accent, remember his and then inform me that they saw one of my countrymen on TV the other day..

NOOOOOOOOOOO ...I'm a New Zealander ...he's an Australian ...and they are quite welcome to him, thankyou very much ! :-)

Darn...

HEAR my accent....

I need more bacon..

My 13 year old will be glad to know this, too. Like Pickle he is a bacon addict.

I actually found a recipe for a bacon log filled with cheese that he wants me to make. (Cheese is his 2nd favorite food.) I'm afraid...

Wow, she does look good! I swear I would eat bacon all the time too. We were out this morning and my kids had a little freak out.

I could live to be 114 too if all it took was doughnuts and Pall Malls!

Oh yes now I have the perfect reason to eat bacon every single day.

That is soo funny. Z loves bacon too....but he'll have to wait to move into his own house to watch Jerry Springer...I can't take all that yelling and stupidity.

I wonder if it's the bacon or the Jerry Springer that's kept her going for so long? Haha!

My husband's stock line is: everything is better with bacon. Who knew it could lead to long life?

I took care of man once who was 110. He said a shot of whiskey and a pipe of tobacco kept him going all those years. He died several days later. I'll take the bacon.

Bacon, yes! But keep her away from Jerry Springer until she's at least 6...

I was sitting here last night ready to comment and an earthquake hit. The computer screen and desk were shaking, I yelled for Brandon and he was sleeping peacefully on the couch. Needless to say, I never left my comment.

I am back in the blog world and following again.
