Grillin' and Chillin'

What a beautiful weekend! Sunny, but not too hot--perfect for our first grill-fest of the season.
Also perfect for lots of pic-taking. Luckily, Pickle was in a cooperative mood.

A lot of flowers in my yard are on the verge of blooming--I tried to capture some of those:

I love this one--just about to burst open!
Then we had a great cook-out. We made Bobby Flay's Honey-Chipotle chicken wings. They were amazing!
Don couldn't stop gorging on them and now he's doubled over from pain of over-eating.

We also made a delicious guacamole with grilled corn in it, fresh fruit, corn on the cob and bratwurst.

Boring Stuff...

We got a call from our realtor tonight that there will be a showing tomorrow morning--finally--it's been like two weeks! But of course that means we are in full-blown cleaning mode. I ran to the grocery store to I get some flowers and so far I've done a few arrangements. I've done so much flower arranging lately that I'm getting pretty good at it! Tonight I did some "experimental" type arrangements! Here's one of them:Kind of kooky?

He loves to sprawl around the house in this position! He is getting so big I might have to get him another cage. Stop growing, Dr. Hoppy!!

Overkill?

Someone was coming to see our house today so we spent a good part of the day cleaning, decluttering and baking cookies. One good thing about this new superclean lifestyle is that I like to have lots of fresh flowers around to promote good chi and all that jazz. Today I think I might have gone overboard in the flower department!!

Peonies

I always look forward to the peonies blooming in my backyard. They are the perfect flower--big, beautiful and with an amazing scent. Even one peony in a little vase on the table goes a long way.
