The highlight of the weekend was apple picking. Just being out in the fresh air on a perfectly perfect fall day was great!

When we were finished with the fruit and gourd picking, we stopped by the country store for cider and doughnuts and all that jazz. They also had an outdoor barbeque going with grilled corn on the cob. It was SO good!

What a great way to get out of the house! I have such wonderful memories of apple picking as a child. I'm sure they will all cherish these memories.

When I was in New Zealand last year, I got the chance to experience apple picking from a apple farm owned by a friend. I like eating apples and because of it i now owned a apple farm of my own.
It looks like a great getaway from all of the chaos!
